Tammy was born and raised in Donaldsonville, LA. As a child, she used writing, particularly poetry, as a creative outlet. In their early 20s, Tammy and her husband, Jerry, moved to Georgia. She loved writing poetry so much that she went by the pin name Poetic Peace. As an adult, Tammy was diagnosed with Lupus. She used her poetry to express the challenges and triumphs of having a long term illness. Tammy passed away in 2022 and is survived by her husband, Jerry, and their 3 children, Tia, Jasmine and Jerry Jr.

She was an adventurous traveler. Before there was Google Maps, Tammy would look at maps and figure out how to travel to different places she had never been before.
She could hear a pin drop! Imagine being one of her siblings trying to watch Saturday morning cartoons when she was a teenager who just wanted to sleep in! 😆
